- Invited evening talk by Prof. S. Cox. December 2010, Prof. S. Cox gave an invited evening talk for the Lancashire and North-west Branch of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and the Lancashire and Cumbria Branch of the Institute of Physics, hosted by the University of Central Lancashire. The audience was a mixture of academics and members of the public, including A-level pupils
- Seminar for students at Rzeszow University of Technology. June 2012, Prof. G. Mishuris gave a talk at Rzeszow University of Technology about research challenges and opportunities within FP7. For photos go here.

- Visit in school in France. November 2013, Prof. S. Cox was teaching at the school on the Structure and dynamics of liquid foams and their applications in Orsay, France, during the first week of November. The school is loosely based on the book Foams: Structure and Dynamics.
- Participation in Shale Gas Europe. December 2013, Mr Janusz Michalcewicz (Eurotech) and Prof. Gennady Mishuris and Miss Monika Perkowska (Aberystwyth University) took part in Shale Gas Europe in Warsaw. For photos go here and to see a presentation go here.
- Interview on Radio Cardiff. August 2014, Prof. S. Cox was interviewed on Radio Cardiff as part of the Science and Technology Radio Show "Pythagoras' Trousers", talking about foams and bubbles.
- Lecture by Prof. John P. Dempsey. 17 April 2014, Prof. John P. Dempsey from Clarkson University (Potsdam, New York, USA) gave a lecture at Aberystwyth University, titled "Fracture of Sea Ice in the Arctic and Antarctic".
- Paper by Prof. S. Cox. In 2014, Prof. S. Cox published a paper in Rheology Bulletin (55, No. 2, 45-46) titled "From mathematical curiosity to practical significance".
- Russia-Ukraine-EU energy partnership towards Energy Security Workshop. In September 2014, Prof. G. Mishuris participated in a workshop organised by UCL-Energy and UCL ISR staff as part of a grant by the British Council. He gave a talk titled 'FP7 IAPP project HYDROFRAC project: Recent advances in mathematical and numerical modelling of hydrofracturing'. For photos go here and the programme can be found here.
