Social activities
Due to a bank holiday Monday, the participants of the Summer School will have a three-day break during which they are encouraged to explore more of Aberystwyth, its vicinities, or perhaps further afield.
We can suggest the following options:
- a walk along the scenic coast path to the nearby town of Borth;
- a trip on the steam train to Devil's Bridge;
- a railway trip up north along the scenic coastline (Barmouth, Harlech, Porthmadog, Pwllheli and more);
- a coach trip down south to Aberaeron (and New Quay);
- a coach trip to Swansea and Gower Peninsula;
- trips by train to Shrewsbury, Chester or Liverpool;
- a weekend trip to London (by coach or train).
